近日在北京一些流动人口数量超过常住人口数量的“倒挂村”实施的封闭式管理得到了公安部领到和北京市党委书记的认可，此举将会在首都进一步推广实施。
在这种管理体制下，村落四周建起了boundary wall（围墙），居民需持ID card（身份证）或temporary residence permit（暂住证）才可以出入。此外还安置了surveillance camera（监控摄像头）。此举是为了改善对mobile population/floating population（流动人口）的管理。
