Earlier this month, Logan, 3, went to the West Midland Safari Park with his family and had a great time.

8月初，3岁的Logan和家人一起去了西米德兰野生动物园，他们玩得很开心。

But sadly, later that day he lost his penguin balloon and was distraught. His auntie, Lavania Oluban, made this appeal on Facebook.

但遗憾的是，当天晚些时候他弄丢了企鹅气球，因此他很伤心。于是，Lavania Oluban阿姨就在脸书上发了一个帖子。

Oluban told BuzzFeed News: “I took my nephews and sister out to the West Midland Safari Park for a treat, and after a brilliant day we bought my nephew a fabulous penguin balloon (he has a penguin soft toy at home called Pengy).”

Oluban在接受BuzzFeed采访时说：“我请姐姐和侄子去动物园玩，我们度过了愉快的一天，后来我们给小侄儿买了一个有趣的企鹅气球（Logan家里也有一个企鹅毛绒玩具，叫Pengy）”

“Anyway, after losing him [the balloon] when we opened the car door it took quite a while to convince Logan that Pengy was going travelling. I put up a Facebook post to ask some friends and family who are off on their holidays to send postcards from Pengy to Logan about his travelling adventures.”

“总之，当我们打开车门把气球弄丢后，我们花了一些时间才让Logan相信Pengy是去旅行了。我在脸书上发了个帖子，请那些在外度假的朋友们以Pengy的名义给Logan寄明信片，讲一讲Pengy的冒险之旅。”

But would friends and family on Facebook step up to the task?

▲Indeed they would. Within weeks Logan got cards from “Pengy” from all over Europe and North America sent to his home in Birmingham, updating him on the elusive bird’s adventures.

事实上，他们还真会。几周之内，Logan就收到了Pengy从欧洲和北美各地寄到他在伯明翰的家的明信片，给他讲这只难以捉摸的小鸟的冒险经历。

Lavania said that a sad balloon-related incident has now been turned into a happy one.

“He absolutely loves the stories and all of the pictures on the postcards too, and asks a lot of questions about all the places, and has pointed them out on to his globe (with help),” she said.
